The cookies and local storage Homeware Edit uses, and how to control them.
This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies used on homewareedit.com. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to store. It can be used to keep a session alive, remember a preference, or recognise a browser across visits. Local storage is a related mechanism that stores data in the browser without sending it with every request.
Strictly necessary (security). Our host, Cloudflare, may set a cookie when it needs to distinguish a real visitor from automated traffic. Without it, the security challenge cannot complete and some pages will not load. These cookies are not used for advertising and are not shared for marketing.
Preference storage. The site keeps a small local-storage value for the navigation drawer so it does not reopen uninvited. It contains no identifier and is not used for tracking.
Affiliate links are ordinary outbound links. When you click one, the destination retailer may set its own cookies under its own policy; that happens on their site, not ours. Retailers commonly use a cookie to attribute a purchase to the referring site. You can review and clear those cookies in your browser settings.
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear local storage, usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop some pages from loading properly. Browser “private” or “incognito” windows discard cookies when you close the window.
Because the site does not track you across sites and does not sell personal information, there is no cross-site tracking to opt out of. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where our host can read them, and we do not run the kind of processing that a GPC signal would otherwise need to stop.
If we add a feature that requires new cookies, this notice will be updated before the feature goes live, and the date below will change.
